Hi I’m Andrew ๐Ÿ‘‹

I’m curious about how software goes from an idea on a laptop to something people can actually use. That journey takes me through cloud engineering, DevOps, and infrastructure: AWS, Kubernetes, Linux, Terraform, Docker, CI/CD, and all the little pieces that connect code to the cloud. I especially enjoy the moment when a confusing system finally starts to make sense, usually after asking it “Why are you doing that?” for the tenth time.

This blog is where I turn those moments into useful notes. Some posts explore a tool or an idea that I’m learning. Others start with a failed deployment, a command that behaves strangely, or a configuration file with one very sneaky line. I share what I tried, what didn’t work, what finally fixed the problem, and what I’d do differently next time.

I write because explaining something in my own words helps it stick. My future self also deserves better than a folder full of mystery screenshots and terminal history. If you’ve ever solved a bug, celebrated for thirty seconds, and then forgotten the solution a week later, you’ll know exactly why this blog exists.

Think of this as an open notebook for anyone who likes building software and understanding the systems behind it. I try to keep things clear, practical, and honest, with a little fun along the way. Pick a topic that interests you and follow along. If a post saves you a few browser tabs, gives you a new idea, or makes a tricky topic feel easier, I’m glad you’re here!
